Florida Was Perfect!

So, Thanks to my dad and brother I was able to take a momcation to see my brother Stoney and his girlfriend Kiye in Florida. It was so much fun! We went to the spa, went shopping, went to Busch Gardens and ate out almost everynight (no clean up)! My daddy spoiled me rotten!

It was my first time really getting to know Kiye. She is awesome! My brother should consider himself very lucky! I hope to call her my Sister soon!

New Callings

So, Jason and I both have new callings.

I have been called to serve as Young Women's President. I am so excited! I just love the Young Women so much! It will be challenging but, I also know that I will have the best time ever.

Jason has been called as Ward Clerk. We had thought that this calling wouldn't take up as much time as Elders Quorum President but boy were we wrong. Jason however just loves it.

Bowen turns 6!

While we were in Cali we decided to celebrate Bowen's 6th birthday. We had cake at Campland with all of his bestest friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOWEN!

U.S.S. Midway

We took the kids to the U.S.S. Midway when we were in San Diego. If you have never been there you must go. It was so neat. I know that we all left there with a much greater respect for those who serve in the armed forces.

Legoland

So a trip to San Diego just isn't complete without a trip to Legoland. So I have to tell you that Jason and I were not pleased with Legoland! They gave us the impression that it was totally expected that we would be leaving our children behind. When we tried to, they had the nerve to
tell us that we couldn't. I have had contact with my attorney and we are checking into the matter . Sounds to me like false advertising!
Also, I cannot believe some of the women they allow into a place marketed for children. Let me just tell you I was not please at all. However, Jason sure was.
Well again, we made it through two days of Legoland. Jason only lost his mind a couple of times.

Old Town San Diego

On one of our days we took the kids to Old Town.

We just love Old Town! The kids think it is just so much fun!

And yet here is Jason still trying
to keep it together. LOL

The adventure begins!

We stayed at Camp Land on the Bay. The kids loved it!
Did the parents, you might ask?
Let me just say DIRT! DIRT! DIRT!

At lease Cherish and I had Internet access!
We must be able to check our Face book!
The stress of everything started to make us all delirious after a while!
See Jason starting to crack?

San Diego here we come. Like they could miss us.

Ok, So yes we are crazy! We took our Vacation in San Diego this year with 6 little ones and 4 teenagers! It was a crazy time. Everything took double the time.Driving, eating, getting to sleep and we won't even talk about Legoland. (you will have to wait for that).
Would I have done it any other way, you ask? Absolutely NOT! It's was a blast.

Tee Pee

Ok, so it's been forever since I have blogged. That's not because nothing has been going on, it's because too much has been going on.

Thought I would share another reason I love to home school. Lance was doing his English and read a sentence that said " The Indian's tee pee is made out of Buffalo hides." Lance then asked what hides are. I told him its the buffalo's skin. He then said " They used hides to wipe their bums?" It was just too funny!

So yesterday Devin comes up to me very serious and says " Mom, I think I might be claustrophobic"!
Lance then asks him " Why are you scared of Santa Clause"?
I laughed so hard! I then had to explain to Lance what Devin meant. So when he understood what Devin meant by claustrophobic he still thought that what just as silly.

Bowen loves Starwars

Bowen loves Star wars! He is like a little Star wars walking encyclopedia. He know it all when it comes to Star wars.

So yesterday, I had him on my back when Lance says "Bowen, It's like you're Yoda on Luke's back. That's so cool. Then Bowen says,

" No, It's like Luke on a tauntaun". For those of you who don't speak Star wars, this is one. Pretty, Huh? Those are the moments that you really know what your kids think of you.

Devin is amazing

There is no way at 14 I would have ever gotten up at 4:30 in the morning Monday thru Friday so I could be at church for seminary. It does help that he loves it. He thinks his teacher is great. She has really been an inspiration in his life. I am so thankful that the church has such great programs for the youth. It only gets ugly (like this picture) getting him up in the morning once and a while. LOL

FUN NIGHT W/ YW &YM

I had a great time with the youth in our ward last night. Let's just say that I didn't think that I would like Karaoke but I loved it. The Kids were great they all sang and some had really great voices. Devin tried to sing "I love rock n roll" by himself but he made it look so much fun that everyone ended up joining in (even me and Brother Hengsteller!) So what do I think of my new calling after the first night? Lets put it this way, I'm ready to get this show on the road. This is going to be a great year!

Rudolph the red nosed zit deer?!

So, this morning Lance said the funniest thing.

It all started with Devin telling us how bad he felt for someone in his seminary class "Mom I feel so bad for him, he has the biggest red zit on the end of his nose" (those things are so important and terrible in a teenagers life). Lance then started to sing "Rudolph the red nosed zit deer".

Reality TV anyone?

Ok so I have to admit something. I'm a total looser when it comes to reality tv. I LOVE IT! ALL OF IT! If it's reality tv it's for me. Jason can't stand it. Maybe it's time for RTVA (Reality TV Anonymous) for me.

Heather has a new calling!

You are probably thinking I can't believe it! That's right everyone I have officially been released as Cub Master. I will miss it soooo much! It was by far my favorite calling so far.

So what is my new calling? Well It has to do with something I have no clue about (Young Women). I am now Young Women's Secretary. I am very exited about the calling! I can't wait to dig in. Wish me luck.

Schulz Review of 2008

We wanted to share some of our favorite things we did this year

Bowen says that Christmas was his favorite

Lance liked meeting Darth Vader at Disneyland

Devin had fun with his friend at Disneyland

Jason loved all of Disneyland

Heather liked Walking with Dinosaurs!
It was so neat. Those dinos were huge!

And so it begins! It's everyones fault (except mine) that this blog is being started and now will take up all my extra time! It wouldn't be needed if everyone would stop moving!
